Even after the update, the game still crashes on the first level. Still five stars because Im a big fan of DOOM.

Hey at least they update the game. Still couple crashes here and there but a little bit better than it was before. Keep up the good work. Btw the app icon looks pretty sweet kinda like halo.

Dont bite my head off; Illl explain exactly why this is better than Doom (in some repects). 1. Right now, its $1. Even if its half the game Doom is, the value is still above the price. 2. Its basically a Doom sequel because it has almost the same graphics, but completely different levels and enemies. 3. Its more challenging than Doom even on lower difficulties, and there are cooler guns sooner, but that doesnt make it any easier. 4. It is a Doom copy. Play Doom on iPod. This has all the same features. For $0.99. Awesome. However, a nasty bug boots me out ofthe game every few minutes or so, and that kills it. Fix the bug, and this is a darn fine game. UPDATE!!

some major issues: -the game closes and returns me back to my homepage and i have to start all over I cant even play wifi with my brother and he is right next to me..fix it.... If you fix this itll be a 5/5 perfect game

Game is interesting, but frustrating to play due to clear presence of bugs. First it plays smooth, then it starts stuttering in a min or so and eventually crashes, like it has a memory leak or something. Have to save all the time and restart the app. Frustrating considering that my home button is not very good. Controls are great, just like doom classic. Graphics is not as good as doom classic, but OK. With stuttering/crashing fixed this app can be worth $2 or $3, even though it violates the spirit of "FreeDoom" by having a price tag on the first place. Btw, whats the deal with a "Freedoom: graphics not finished." on a spiderdemon?

Update to review: to stop game from freezing try turning off the in-game music. It helped stop the freezing for me. The good: Lets get this out of the way, yes this is a fun game. This is basically doom with different levels and different enemies. Im a big fan of doom and usually am pretty critical when it comes to anyone trying to copy it. Since this game is desperately trying to be doom it does a decent job. The bad: The game will crash often. Save often or youll have to start over from your last save. Overall: Worth it even with the crashes for the low price. If price goes up past a buck dont buy until bugs are fixed.

On iPad the red fire button doesnt show up and the left side movement cross jumps around when tapped making it impossible to move accurately. Maybe an update can fix it. Seems fun if it was playable.

This game has never been fixed. For that, you get 1 star. It has been a long time. Updated review: a few minor changes has made this game more playable. I found the fire button. It is invisible and in the top right corner of the screen. I moved it to the bottom right corner. To turn on tilt to turn, tap the screen with 4 fingers and type the command "tiltturn 4500" and press enter. The game is now more enjoyable. Try using the doom cheat codes. They work. Original review: This game is missing the fire button. Please add it to the options menu so I may move it where I need it. This game is also lacking tilt to turn. My prefered control setup is as follows: Left stick to move and strafe Accelerometer to turn (aim) Dedicated fire button on bottom right of screen. This game is inspired by doom and looks pretty good. I couldnt find a good control option so I never made it through the first level. Double tap to fire is a horrible control option for firing your primary means of defense. I will resubmit a review if control options are "fixed". In my opinion they are (or feel) broken.

The game is excellent but, yes, it crashes every 8 minutes or so, it varies, and that ish NO GOOD. And it also seems as if you havent checked your coments because this is common and NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED. My. Finger. Is. Shifting. Towards. Doom. Icon. Eeaah

I assumed this and hellraiser were two different games so i bought both :(

Doomsday: hellraiser is half the price and the same game!!!

So I was having fun fighting my way through this game over the past several weeks. I installed update today an POOF! My progress is gone. Are you @$&!% kidding me? Like I want to start over.

If this game is made from the doom 2 engine, shouldnt doom 2 be available? Also the game wont stop crashing. Its a great game, but I cant even play 5 minutes without it crashing, but somehow I still beat the game on nightmare. And the snake-like imp clones dont explode like in doom, and why do the supposed to be giant monsters have the unfinished sign on them, and last the monster viewer at the end doesnt advance after zombie-man. I just installed the update, and all that happened is that all the old levels are gone; and the crash bug is still there! What the HELL!!!!!

Total Clone. Id support it - but the game is in playable. Cant load saved games. The free version was playable - but could not load saved games. I thought it was part of it being free - so I paid 1.99 for this game. Only to find the same bug - and unplayable!! I would ask for my money back... But I dont know how. I feel ripped off. I bucked up and paid $7 for Doom. Far wiser move. Bug free!

Whether or not this game keeps on crashing I still kept it for being the perfect Doom Clone. Love the spooky soundtrack (thanks for the update).

Dont get it it crashes get doomsday hellraiser and hacx instead hacx is free and doomsday is the exact sam game as this but with more levels,works, and is 99 cents

Worth 1.99 although same as hellraiser. Dont press the home button cuz it saves automatically and that ruins it sometimes. Very addicting but glitches and crashes to home screen often like once every 15 min so save often. Buy it dont listen to the 3 star and below ratings!!

Crashes every 20 min or so, cannot complete levels due to crashing. But is addicting just like doom. Should have more maps though...
